TITLE: Supervisor of Custodial Operations


Manage district custodial operations for multiple sites; supervises and trains staff members to ensure
cleaning guidelines and standards are consistently met.


1. Education and/or experience equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED
2. Five (5) years minimum experience in custodial operations, inventory control, and custodial
3. Three (3) years of custodial supervision is preferred
4. Leadership skills in supervision, training, and evaluating of custodial staff
5. Knowledge and expertise in safety, security, building utilities, energy consumption and health
6. Knowledge and expertise in minor repairs to commercial cleaning equipment
7. Knowledge of OSHA, AHERA, and IAQ
8. Knowledge and expertise in minor building maintenance and operations
9. Knowledge and skill in computer hardware/software business applications (Windows, Word, Google
10. Confidence, adaptability, ability to give and follow directions, attention to detail
11. Good oral and written communication skills

- Supervise and evaluate all custodial staff.
- Train all custodial staff in all areas of commercial cleaning and building maintenance.
- Take disciplinary actions as required.
- Plan and administer custodial control budgets.
- Develop and implement custodial training program for all new and current custodial employees.
- Ensure accurate, complete records are kept regarding material consumptions, cost, stock levels,
and other data for reporting to FMFL, along with county and state agencies.
- Maintain, review and track monthly utility bills for discrepancies in usage.
- Preform energy audits during occupies and unoccupied times.
- Provide analysis and reports from energy software to track the progress of our utility
- Establish maintenance and support agreements on material handling and custodial equipment.
- Inspect district facilities regularly to ensure that Cleaning Standards, preventive maintenance
tasks, and energy conservation measures are being implemented.
- Supervise and evaluate Lead Custodian with input from building principal. - Work collaboratively with all Facilities Management for Learners Departments to ensure that
custodial and maintenance work is done to district expectations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
