TITLE: Nutrition Manager/Warehouse


Manages warehouse staff and activities related to assigned work in the area of receiving, inspecting,
storing, issuing, staging, and delivery of food and supplies for Nutritional Services. Provide oversight in
safe and proper handling of food inventory.


1. Education and/or experience equivalent to a high school diploma or GED
2. Two (2) years warehouse experience; one (1) year experience handling food inventory;
supervisory experience preferred.
3. State of Arizona Identity Verified (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card.
4. Valid Arizona Driver’s License with good driving record for past five (5) years.
5. Possess or obtain Maricopa County Food Service Manager’s Certification within ninety (90) days
from date of hire.
6. Possess or obtain Lift Truck trainer certification

- Supervise the activities of personnel involved in the daily routing of deliveries; storage and
movement of food, supplies, or equipment; and those engaged in receiving, issuing and delivering
food and supplies including accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments to district
- Conduct performance appraisals of NS warehouse assistances.
- Manage all warehouse and distribution operations such as inventory control, shipping,
transportation, food and supplies handling, order fulfillment, delivery scheduling and receiving.
- Monitor safe, appropriate and organized use of the warehouse space.
- Monitor and implement best practices and efficiencies in warehouse operations; food inventory
management procedures for Federal and Maricopa County Environmental Services food safety
- Utilize automated system for inventory verification and adjustments procedures and complete
appropriate documentation.
- Conduct weekly cycle count physical inventory according to standard operating procedures;
conduct annual physical inventory of all nutrition services items. Resolve warehouse stock
- Work with Supervisor in developing standards for warehouse stock.
- Coordinate stock reorder point and quantities to ensure adequate stock levels and continually
update database.
- Report order/delivery discrepancies with vendors; resolve warehouse stock discrepancies and
credits on computerized inventory system.
- Manage receiving and processing of food and supply orders from school sites.
- Operate material handling equipment to load, unload, and move materials.
- Coordinate with Fleet Management for routine inspection and maintenance of delivery trucks. - Provide reports as requested by Supervisor/Director.
- Maintain records required by law.
- Coordinates with Supervisor on training needs of personnel.
- Ensure good working relationships between warehouse staff, school site managers, and all other
district departments and the community.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
