TEMPE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT

TITLE: Logistics Clerk

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Maintain inventory of District technology assets.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Education and/or experience equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED, with associate degree
(preferred)
2. One (1) year of inventory control experience (preferred)
3. Valid AZ Driver's License (required)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Check-in of all technology devices and enter items into the system database.
- Tag assets with property control numbers.
- Enter service ticket for action on items received.
- Maintain and manage inventory spreadsheets for each site.
- Track RMA returns, outside vendor repair, and warranty items.
- Track Acceptable Use Agreements for technology assets.
- Maintain and manage incident reports for technology assets.
- Maintain and manage database of retired technology assets.
- Maintain and manage inventory of District software licenses.
- Attend meetings and participate on committees as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:

- Knowledge of District, Federal and State rules and regulations governing school operations and
software applications
- Skill in utilizing effective verbal or written communication in the performance of all written and
oral communications with end users and other customers
- Skill and expertise in the use of standard office software including, but not limited to:

o Email
o Word Processing
o Spreadsheets
o Databases

- Skill utilizing customer service techniques in responding to inquiries, requests and complaints.
- Skill establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Ability to exercise discretion when exposed to confidential information.
- Ability to travel to various sites within the District.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Fast paced environment with multiple deadlines.
Working with or near noisy and potentially dangerous power equipment, and electrical wiring.
Exposure to rooms with the temperature maintained at or below 70 degrees.
May work varied hours.

PHYSICAL EFFORT:

May lift, move, push or carry materials, equipment and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds or more.
Generally performs work in a seated position with repetitive motion and eyestrain through extensive
utilization of computer hardware and software.
May work in confined spaces.
May be exposed to loud noises.
May work with or near toxic chemicals and fumes.
