TITLE: Data Compliance Auditor

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provide data integrity and regulatory compliance support for Student and Business Applications to enable
TD3 to meet academic achievement standards and data compliance requirements as mandated by local,
state and federal agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Education and/or experience equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED
2. Minimum 1 year working with a Student Management System.
3. Exposure/experience with Arizona Department of Education AZED’s data transaction process.
(Recommended but not required).
4. State of Arizona Identity Verified (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card
5. Valid AZ Driver's License (required)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide primary support for the complete and final compliance to data standards and data integrity
of all Student information submitted to ADE and other regulatory agencies for purposes including
but not limited to:
o ADM funding to the district, Student Assessment & Achievement, Special Education,
English Language Learners and Title Funding
- Responsible for the validity, compliance, and timely submission of all Student data to the State
and other regulatory agencies
- Responsible for the integrity of data entered into the Student Management System including
those activities related to the compliance to standards and integrity of data reported to ADE.
- Coordinate the annual audit, validity checking and problem resolution of data entered into student
application systems used at the schools and in various district departments.
- Provide customer service and end user support by telephone, field/site visits, e-mail and other
means as requested and as scheduled.
- Work with application vendors to define, determine, test and implement changes to purchased
software that impact the collection, accuracy and dissemination of student and financial data.
- Maintain current technical knowledge and expertise on specific technology systems or on a
technology platform through research, personal use, trade and vendor information and training.
- Work directly with ADE staff in regards to submitted data.
- Monitor automated submissions to ADE.
- Troubleshoot submission failures.
- Test software functionality before installing patches and new releases of the SMS software.
- Meet quarterly with other districts and ADE to keep abreast of state requirements in regards to
data collections and submission.
- Work directly with school office staff to share the results of the annual audits.
- Follow state reporting calendar to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Attend state reporting trainings on a regular basis. - Oversee and monitor record keeping of student information at all sites and performs internal
audits.
- Attend meetings and participate on committees as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:

- Knowledge of District, Federal and State rules and regulations governing school operations and
software applications
- Skill in utilizing effective verbal or written communication in the performance of all written and oral
communications with end users and other customers
- Skill utilizing customer service techniques in responding to inquiries, requests and complaints
- Skill and knowledge relative to training techniques and methods using a lab and lecture format
and hands-on practice with computer workstations
- Skill establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
- Skill and experience using technology in a business and educational
environment
- Skill and expertise in the use of standard office software including, but not
limited to:

- Email
- Word Processing
- Spreadsheets
- Databases
- Query and ad hoc reporting tools

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Fast paced environment with multiple deadlines.
May work varied hours.
May be required to telecommute in addition to working onsite.

PHYSICAL EFFORT:

May lift, move, push or carry materials, equipment and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds or more.
Generally performs work in a seated position with repetitive motion and eyestrain through extensive
utilization of computer hardware and software.
