TITLE: Assessment Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Coordinate the implementation of current state and district assessment programs (e.g., handling
materials, training test coordinators, performing statistical analyses, generating and disseminating
reports, interpreting findings) and provide technical assistance for the evaluation of teaching and learning.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Arizona Administrative Certification (preferred)
2. Experience teaching or directing an assessment program in an applied educational setting
3. Possess a working knowledge of educational measurement issues and the practical
implementation of a comprehensive assessment program
4. Ability to design and conduct statistical analyses of data of various types and from multiple
sources (e.g., student performance data, demographic data, program implementation data,
survey data)
5. Ability to design and produce tabular and graphical data reports, communicate findings to
stakeholders, and assist stakeholders to use data for purposes of accountability, program
evaluation, and improvement

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the development/refinement and implementation of the District Assessment Plan.
- *Follow current APA and NCTM standards for educational testing (e.g., appropriate use and
interpretation of tests findings, test security, etc.).
- Conduct statistical data analysis of student performance and demographic data.
- Prepare reports and interpret findings to various audiences.
- Collaborate with district departments to develop and maintain a student performance reporting
system that provides useful data for instructional decision-making, program evaluation, and
accountability.
- Provide technical assistance for implementing program evaluations.
- Collaborate with other districts on assessment.
- Provide assistance to principals on data analysis and interpretation.
- Provide technical assistance on federal and state accountability data, determinations, appeals
and reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent of Learning and Leadership

WORK YEAR: 12 months

SALARY: $63,000 to $68,000 annually

EVALUATION: Administrative Evaluation
