TITLE: Teacher - Early Literacy (K-3)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide reading support for academically at-risk students through intervention groups and/or individual
instruction.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Arizona Elementary Teacher certification
2. Reading endorsement
3. Three (3) years successful classroom teaching experience
4. Experience in teaching reading intervention groups
5. ESL endorsement (preferred)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

following tasks, knowledge, skills, and other characteristics. This list is ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY, and is not

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide K-3 reading and writing support to children and teachers through supplemental
instruction.
- Conduct on-going in-service training for teachers and for instructional assistants.
- Assist with disaggregation and interpretation of assessment data to increase individual student
growth and achievement.
- Assist in the planning of parent involvement activities.
- Perform other duties related to the implementation of the school wide plan and Early Literacy
Grant.
- Attend professional development as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

REPORTS TO: Principal
EVALUATION: Teacher Evaluation
SUPERVISES: Instructional Assistant(s) working in intervention program
