TITLE: Compliance Coach - English Language Learning

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Implement the English Language Learning Program (State SEI Model) requirements to ensure academic
success for English Language Learning (ELL) students and meet state and federal documentation
requirements including data analysis and coach TD3 staff on ELL methodologies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Arizona Elementary or Secondary Teacher certification (required)
2. Bilingual, ESL or equivalent Endorsement (preferred)
3. Three years Bilingual/ESL/ELD/ILLP classroom experience at the K-8 level (required)
4. Experience with ELL state proficiency and the ELA academic standards
5. Experience collaborating with teachers and administrators (preferred)
6. Background in the theory and practices of Multicultural Education
7. Background in the use of assessments for ELL students (required)
8. Experience collaborating with teachers and administrators (preferred)
9. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with peers (required)
10. Technologically literate (preferred)
11. Flexible, well-organized, time manager (required)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Coordinate staff development to support SEI Model placement, assessment, reassessment, and
the exiting requirements of ELLs.
- Evaluate ELL’s language and academic summative assessments to ensure ELLs are
meeting/exceeding the ELA Common Core Standards.
- Collect, analyze, and represent achievement data of Fluent English Proficient students as
required by the Arizona Department of Education
- Provide staff development in the grouping of ELLLs, the ELD component schedule, the use of
English materials that support the ELD components and schedule.
- Develop and present trainings for staff in SEI Model schedules and the use of the English
Language Proficiency standards.
- Assist the department with the SEI Model compliance monitoring and program evaluation.
- Assist staff with home/school communication requirements for parents of culturally and
linguistically diverse students.
- Assist the ELL Coordinator to plan multicultural staff development for school staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
