TITLE: Instructional Coach - Early Childhood (Pre K -3 Grade)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provide leadership and instruction expertise in Early Childhood and Preschool programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Arizona Early Childhood Teacher Certification, Arizona Elementary Teacher Certification with
Early Childhood approved, or Arizona Special Education Teacher Certificate with Early Childhood
approved area
2. Master Degree in Early Childhood (preferred)
3. Five (5) years of successful Early Childhood teaching experience
4. Knowledge of district early childhood, special education, and preschool programs
5. Broad knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply preschool, special education, and early
childhood laws, procedures, and compliance standards
6. Experience in staff professional development
7. Ability to assess needs, develop and implement, and evaluate outcomes of early childhood
programs

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Conduct staff training and professional development for early childhood education and early
childhood special education staff.
- Provide information to Tempe Elementary School District #3 staff regarding policy and
procedures for early childhood students.

- Provide Pre K-3 support to children and teachers through supplemental groups and/or
supplemental individual instruction in the classroom.
- Assist with disaggregation and interpretation of assessment data to increase individual student
growth and achievement.
- Assist in the planning of parent involvement activities.
- Perform other duties related to the implementation of the school wide plan.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
